PENGHANTARAN MAKANAN GUNA DRON HUJUNG BULAN INI

CYBERJAYA, June 18 (Bernama) — Cyberjaya residents will be able to enjoy food delivery service right at their doorstep with the help of drones by the end of the month (June).

It would take 12 minutes for the food to be delivered once an order is placed, said Hamdee Hamdan, the chief executive officer of Average Drone Sdn Bhd, a local company involved in the drone industry since 2014. 

The company will collaborate with Futurise which is managed by Cyberview, a subsidiary firm under the Finance Ministry.

Hamdee said the current plan was to have the food delivery service over a three-month trial period.

The food would be delivered within a two-kilometre distance of the Futurise building here, he added.

Only seven types of food would be offered during the trial period, including noodles, rice, burgers, sandwiches, ‘kuih’ and fruits.

“This is only a test run and after three months we will see how it goes and add on more dishes on the menu,” said Hamdee when met by Bernama at the expo MyDroneX here, yesterday (June 17).

Hamdee said the company had also developed a mobile application that was still in the final draft, to facilitate customers to order their food.

The duration from the time the order was placed until the time the food reached its destination should take no more than 12 minutes, he said, adding that delivery charges would cost RM2.50 per trip.

“Is not so much about the price, it is all also about the time frame since many want quick delivery. We have developed the drone so that it could be flown during the rain, but not in situations when there are heavy rains,” he said.

Hamdee said that the six-propeller drones aptly named ‘Express Food’ and manufactured by the company, were able to accommodate a weight of up to 800 grammes.

“If the response is good and the trial project a success, our plan is to then modify each drone to accommodate a weight of up three kilogrammes,” he said.

Pengalaman saya di malam raya ketiga. Saya terserempak dengan sepasang suami isteri pencari kelitak berasal dari kampung Empelanjau Sri Aman. Menurut beliau dan isteri selalu mencari kelitak di kawasan rumah saya hingga rumah Razali dan ke Loji Tangki Air di kampung saya.

Pada mulanya uncle dan isterinya malu nak mencari kelitak di kawasan rumah saya. Bila melihat saya ada di rumah. Namun saya menyapa dan turut serta mencari kelitak bersama beliau. Saya berterus terang dengan beliau saya ingin menulis pengalaman mencari kelitak sebagai satu pengalaman yang baru bagi diri saya.

Menurut uncle kelitak aktif di malam hari. Kelitak banyak di kawasan tanah yang lembab tapi kurang di kawasan tanah yang berlumpur (licak bahasa kpg). Lebih tepat kawasan tanah yang dibanjiri air masin disitulah banyak kelitak. Terbukti kata uncle benar bila saya turut serta mencari kelitak malam ini. Bila siang ianya hilang entah kemana.

Menurut uncle lagi dia dan isterinya mencari Kelitak malam ini untuk dijual kepada penduduk kampung Empelanjau yang nak balik ke Bintulu esok hari. Saya juga sempat bertanya kepada uncle kelitak sedap dimakankah uncle? Jawap uncle kelitak lebih sedap dari daging ayam. Menu masakan dari kelitak boleh dibuat kari, masak kicap dan pelbagai. Terliur saya mendengar.

Mencari kelitak walaupun tak sukar namun terdedah dengan bahaya seperti terserempak dengan binatang berbisa seperti ular kata uncle. Sebab itu dipinggangnya terselit parang dibawa bersama untuk keselamatan.

Uncle juga meluahkan isi hati kepada saya. Selain berkebun, mencari kelitak adalah mata pencarian sampingan beliau dan isteri. Faktor usia dah tua beliau tak mampu berkerja dengan kompeni. Jadi dengan hasil mencari kelitak inilah untuk meneruskan kelangsungan hidup untuk membeli kopi dan gula jadilah kata uncle.

Alhamdulillah hasil malam ini saya, uncle dan isterinya mendapat lebih kurang RM30.00 keatas. Bila beliau hendak pulang saya mempelawa uncle dan isteri jalan raya ke rumah saya namun mereka berdua menolak ajakkan saya kerana pakaiannya kotor. Namun saya bekalkan kueh raya untuk dibawa pulang malam ini.

Selamat hari raya jang kata uncle dan isteri. Selamat Ari Gawai uncle untie. Saya turut berpesan jika nak cari kelitak cari sahaja kat kawasan rumah saya. Jangan takut. Hati hati uncle untie. Bye

The children and their caregivers were brought to visit MPH Bookstore at Plaza Merdeka Shopping Mall before heading to Café Via Mare to enjoy their feast.

The children were given the opportunity to pick out books and stationery of their choice, as sponsored by Plaza Merdeka Holdings and Cash Domain Sdn Bhd. The children were in cloud nine as well when they received free balloons from Molly Fantasy the same time, “duit raya” was presented during the night by Dato Steve Ng, the Managing Director of Plaza Merdeka Holdings and Mr. Hoo Yeong Dar, the Operation Director of Cash Domain Sdn Bhd to the 67 children.

Besides that, all the other children who were dining at Café Via Mare on the same night received the “duit raya” as well This Majis Berbuka Puasa with Rumah Kanak-Kanak Kuching is a CSR effort initiated by the Plaza Merdeka Holdings Recreation Club (PMHRC) in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan.
